2 Hour Zapcat Experience

A morning or afternoon Zapcat session can be arranged and is ideal as part of a day out.

The experience consists of a safety briefing followed by everyone heading out from the marina into the Solent for turns in the Zapcat as co-pilot. A qualified instructor will be driving the Zapcat to maximise speed whilst you are co-pilot helping balance the Zapcat and to turn efficiently.

When you are not in the Zapcat you will be in one of our ribs powered by a 225hp engine blasting along for the Zapcat to jump the wake of. This is a perfect opportunity to get some great photos of your colleagues and friends in the Zapcat.

Experience Information

• Zapcat Weekends: The Zap Cats run on selected weekends from April to November.
• Participant Guidelines: Minimum age is 16. Zapcatting is an extreme sport; the experience is not suitable if you have back or neck problems.
• Weather: This experience may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make racing at speed dangerous. Please call the venue if in any doubt.
• Experience Duration: Can last for up to two hours (dependent on total numbers on the boat and the weather). When not in the Zapcat you will be a passenger or in the support boat.
• Numbers On Day: All Zapcat experiences are on a one-to-one basis with the instructor, with a maximum of two Zapcats and two support boats out on the water.
• Zapcat Dress Code: Bring towel and pair of old trainers (that you do not mind getting wet). If it's hot bring sunscreen, if it's cold bring plenty of warm dry clothes to change into. Marine waterproofs, buoyancy aids and helmets are provided.
• Availability for Individuals: Our Zapcats are available on selected Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer season (April to November).
• Availability for Groups: If you are a group of six or more, you can book any day throughout the year.
